1989 DeFever Offshore Cruiser

Anacortes, Washington

$169,000

Waiting For Moorage?  Need Moorage?  We Have On Land Moorage Available For You!  Closest to the San Juans!

Save Fuel and Get Where You Want To Go Sooner!

This DeFever DEFINES TURN-KEY.   Come see and be prepared to be wowed!  We sold it to the current sellers 4 years ago after an extensive update by the previous owners.

Don’t you wish everyone took care of their boat the way YOU would (you discerning boaters know what we’re talking about, right)?!  Well, THIS TRAWLER IS IT: she’s always been a well cared for and exceptional example of this rare 40’ Defever model, and her previous owners, lifetime yachtsman with over 50 years of experience on the water, brought her to a level of high standards that we don’t often see in boats of this vintage.

The current owner took it beyond!   The upgrades and the upkeep are eveything you want to see and more in a pre-owned Pacific Northwest Explorer!  Go everywhere in the Salish Sea and North up the Inside Passage to Alaska - this has the range, comfort and safety to take you there and back!

Ready to Cruise!

THE STORY: As mentioned above, the current owners have spent their lives on the water and knew what they were looking for in their PNW trawler.  When they saw this Defever, they recognized the quality in the build & hull, the rarity of this model within the Defever brand, and, finally, the overall care she’d been given over her lifetime.  …And then they brought out the proverbial fine-tooth-combs and proceeded to go over every inch of her, from the engine room to the fly bridge, to maximize her reliability, safety and aesthetics.  Why?  Because these owners are the people that take care of a boat the way YOU would (maybe even better, but we don’t want to insult anyone).

Caliente became such a dialed-in PNW cruiser and equipped so perfectly for the PNW waters and climate, the owners planned trips well into the fall months with a growing number of friends and family wanting to come along.  After a solid season (and then some) of usage, and a multitude of outings and guests scheduled for more time aboard, the curiosity of finding a larger vessel lead Caliente’s owners to a larger vessel, like in equipment and condition…and so the “itis” set in…

BROKER’S NOTE: The list of upgrades and improvements on this vessel are extensive and we want you to know that many of them are not items that needed to be done, but items that fastidious owners wanted done.

So, we hope now that you know a little more about the story behind her, we hope you’ve gotten the idea that this particular 40’ Defever Double Cabin is special beyond her pleasing and easy layout.  She is wonderfully equipped (as you’ll see) with economical engines and storage to more than all you’ll need.

See the full listing details for all she has to offer, including everything new and improved!
