Consider, though that fuel burn is directly proportional to your speed. Only you control the speed of your boat. So
the amount of fuel you burn is completely up to you. If fuel is a significant concern, SLOW DOWN!

In this exercise, we know that a twin diesel boat under 50 feet takes about 6 gallons an hour at 10 mph. That's
1.666 miles to the gallon.
For your $1,000 fuel budget, you'd get 330 Gallons of fuel at $3.00 a gallon.
REMEMBER FUEL IS MUCH LESS AT THE DOCK THAN ON THE ROAD AS THERE ARE NO ROAD TAXES!
With 330 gallons of fuel, you would have an estimated cruising range of approx. 550 miles.
